Self study 5 devlog

This is a devlog on kit207 self study 5, which is about lighting and shadergraph.

I mean, I do realize that I'm not good at these stuff. Despite of me wandering around because of the UI difference between the current Unity version and that in the video, I have no idea about how I'm gonna do with my own scene. I don't know how it may look better, even though whenever I play a game, I can realize "oh the graphics is soooo good!".

Ok, back to the self study.

First, I followed the tutorial created by Brackeys on simple lighting

And here is what I've got

It's... emmmm, if you look at the video and my scene, you can tell immediately which one looks prettier. But anyway, it works. I created these two planes with emission light in this dark room, together with a simple monkey in the middle.

Then I added a shader to this monkey, also following Brackey's tutorial.

This is what I've got.

Then I tried to make some changes to my own scene, which was the tourist attraction. However, it turned out like this:

see the down-right conner? 43 minutes!

It's because that my scene is made of big big terrains which is far below the bridge. Rendering this scene will take a while, which is not worth the time.

So I decided to use tut3's project to do some testing.

It's... emmm, a house made orange (yeah it has orange emission, though a bit difficult, you can still see it on the ground. The enemies are now red, which is quite useful for my future game development. Think about Apex Legends, I can make the enemies red like what they do!
